ABOUT THE RESORT
Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort is a premier California destination known for its massive terrain, abundant sunshine, and one of the longest ski seasons in North America. It offers a diverse range of experiences from thrilling slopes to a lively village atmosphere, catering to all skill levels and preferences.

THE MOUNTAIN
Mammoth Mountain lives up to its name, boasting the highest skiable summit in California at 11,053 feet and a substantial 3,100-foot vertical drop. The resort features over 3,500 acres of skiable terrain, with 175 named trails and an average annual snowfall of 400 inches, often allowing the season to run from November well into May or even July. The terrain is varied, with gentle beginner slopes near the base, long intermediate blue runs, and challenging expert chutes and powder bowls accessed from the summit. It is also a world-class destination for freestyle enthusiasts, featuring 10 terrain parks and two halfpipes.
ACCOMMODATION & CUISINE
Lodging is concentrated in four main areas: the slopeside Main Lodge, Canyon Lodge, and Eagle Lodge, plus the walkable Village at Mammoth. Options range from luxury hotel suites and condos to cozy cabins and family-friendly apartments, with many offering ski-in/ski-out access. A free shuttle bus system connects all base areas and the town of Mammoth Lakes, making getting around convenient. Dining options are plentiful and diverse, from quick on-mountain food halls serving casual fare like burgers and chili to full-service restaurants offering Californian or Bavarian cuisine, such as the Mountainside Grill or the Yodler Restaurant & Bar.
NIGHTLIFE
The après-ski scene and nightlife are lively, particularly on weekends. Key venues like the Grizzly Bar and Canyon Beach Bar feature live music, while the nearby town of Mammoth Lakes hosts a wider array of options, including music bars, lounges, a cinema, and an ice rink. A standout feature is the free town shuttle running until late, allowing guests to explore the dining and entertainment options safely.
PERKS
Unique perks of Mammoth Mountain include its exceptional snow record combined with an average of 300 sunny days per year, ensuring plenty of “bluebird powder days”. The resort also offers numerous off-slope activities, such as tubing at Woolly’s Adventure Summit, snowmobiling, and a full athletic club with pools and hot tubs, making it a comprehensive year-round destination.
