Packing Tips for Our South American Cultural Adventures
2014-08-13Here are some packing recommendations we have for our cultural adventure trips to South America. It’s not always easy knowing what to bring and under or overpacking can definitely be a major concern. Remember to bring what you need but at the same time weight restrictions on the airlines should be kept in mind when bringing too many of the same items. Since laundry can be done in all of the countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, & Uruguay), in general it is good to bring a week’s worth of clothing.
CULTURAL ADVENTURES
- Backpack (25-50 Liters-size is dependent upon what type of trip you are taking)
- Travel bags with wheels (great for all travel)
- Watch with alarm
- Sunglasses (two pairs)
- Sunscreen and lip protection (SPF 40+)
- Hat & gloves (if traveling to cold climate destinations)
- Baseball cap (for very sunny areas-great protection)
- Radios (optional)
- Moleskin or Band Aid foot repair patches (for blisters)
- First aid kit
- Necessary clothing, but keep this to a minimum, except for socks & underwear (good to have a few extras!)
