SAFETY & SECURITY

At ENDLESS TURNS, safety is our number one concern. We work hard to minimalize the risks to ensure your well being.

Our experienced guides have worked for a lifetime in developing safer techniques each season to reduce the risk out there, both in the backcountry and while traveling in unknown foreign lands.

At the start of each specific trip you will be on, we will be giving a demonstration safety course in how to properly use avalanche transceivers, probes, and shovels. All clients are required to partake in this course, even if you have had prior training.

It is always good to have refreshers, as our guides are continually practicing the recovery of buried beacons and different methods of quicker extraction. This is the most essential tool you can have under your belt prior to skiing in the steep terrain which we all love, the terrain where we need to always be thinking about escape routes and exposing the least amount of people to certain slope.

The guides at ENDLESS TURNS are very well rounded in terrain analysis, so please feel free to question anything that you don’t understand or to ask about certain methods that may work better then something else you have previously learned.

Backcountry skiing and ski touring have inherent risks, just like anything else, but here at ENDLESS TURNS we want to reduce those risks and at the same time be able to explore terrain on skis / snowboard that you might never know existed.
