Willkommen to the region of Central Switzerland, where steep and deep go hand in hand! Here, we will have two weeks to explore the fantastic off-piste terrain, which both the Engelberg and Andermatt resorts provide, plus the endless ski touring for which the region is so well known. The access to the goods here is easy, it just doesn’t get any better!
The adventure begins in the little village of Andermatt, which is located at the crossroads of the Alps. Here, east and west meet north and south, resulting in enormous snowfalls from all directions! Andermatt gets some of the most snow in Europe, so be ready to ride the deep fresh powder that makes Andermatt such a gem. We will spend one full week here being lifted from the base of the resort to the top of the Gemstock tram in a matter of minutes. This tram whisks you to the top so quickly that you feel as if you have been transported to another planet. And did we mention the vertical here, 5000 feet (1527 meters) of glorious steeps! We won’t even come close to scratching the surface in Andermatt, there are runs here to last a lifetime (maybe even two)! We will also ski tour off the Gotthard Pass (as well as other passes in the area) and near the town of Realp (all which are accessed via train!).
After a magical week of ski exploring in Andermatt, its off to the glaciated peaks of Engelberg. The terrain here will blow your minds and the ride up the Titlus (360 degrees rotating tram) alone will leave you speechless. Engelberg is known as one of the biggest free-riding mountains in the world! The Swedes, Fins, and Norwegians come to play in this steep paradise all winter long, making it an international ski bumming destination. Here, we will ski the massive glacier under the tram and explore its vast off-piste options, not to mention the ski touring possibilities.
In Engelberg, you can ski 6000+ vertical feet (1800 meters). Come join Endless Turns for this unforgettable combination of Andermatt and Engelberg, they’re waiting for you….. to the valley floor and come out in the lush farmer’s fields, making it appear that we were taken to another world with blooming flowers and birds chirping. We will experience the true European village feel, eat the finest cheeses in the world, sample the excellent wines which the region has to offer, and rip the goods that just keep on being delivered! Come
