Johnny Lyons

For the past 22 years Johnny has lived and skied in the Vail Valley of Colorado, pursuing his passion to find the best snow. Johnny’s ski mountaineering endeavors have taken him to the Tetons of Wyoming, the Wasatch of Utah, the Canadian ranges, the Andes of Argentina & Chile, and various areas throughout the Colorado Rockies. With 4 years of guiding experience with Endless Turns & countless days of ski touring under his belt, Johnny is a great asset to our team. Johnny worked for three years on the Beaver Creek Resort ski patrol, where he completed his Level 1 & 2 avalanche safety training courses. Johnny has gained the knowledge to guide skiers safely in a variety of complex terrain. Nine years of working as a medical assistant and nurse, not only allowed for Johnny to continue training in ski mountaineering, but also gave him added expertise in emergency situations. Johnny is a recognized ambassador/athlete for Rossignol, Patagonia, G3 (Genuine Guide Gear), and Oakley. Through actively skiing in the backcountry, Johnny has provided images, video footage, and Research & Design on the products of each company.  Johnny’s contribution of wonderful photos to the Endless Turns website has allowed many of our skiers to relive their special ski moments.

As a guide and videographer with Endless Turns, Johnny’s outgoing personality and backcountry expertise ensures a unique adventure, both on and off the mountain. Johnny’s stunning & professional photos/videos will capture each memorable moment of your trip. When not on snow, Johnny can be found pushing the limits on one the many mountain bike single tracks, kayaking the never ending whitewater, surfing the waves of the Pacific, and enjoying the company of friends.
